How Does Your Garden Grow?

Collecting Seeds

Using the Flower Press

Love in the Mist gone dry

This was the first time I have collected seeds from these flowers.  It was a very satisfying task.

  1. I often forget to collect the seeds and it's the perfect way to have a "free" garden the next year. I think Poppy heads look brilliant even after the petals have gone.

  4. Oh, I do like this story in pictures :-) I had a flower press when I was little, and (weirdly!), my mum and I were only saying yesterday how it'd be a nice thing to do with my daughter, so I need to hunt around in Mum's loft a bit..!

    1. I keep meaning to put them through the laminator too. My daughter is struggling to be patient waiting to get them out:-) Also there is a microwavable flower press that seems trendy. It speeds things up. I used to just stick them in between piles of books.

  5. Beautiful photographs, and I love the thought of collecting seeds for next year. I also had a flower press when I was younger - loved it! Popping over from How does your garden grow?
