You know when you see a makeover before and after and you like the before better?
They are in the process of "renovating" Mini Woodstock at Blenheim Palace.  
And I understand why.
And they are doing a good job.

It's going to take a long time for them to age this nicely again. 
Just look at the lovely paint layers on that door.
And the patchwork lichen.
And the moss blobs on the roofs.

I didn't take a picture of the houses that were "fixed".
I just wasn't drawn to them.

Here is a random picture of a weeping willow taken leaving the Pleasure Gardens at Blenheim Palace.
I love them.  
And yes, I giggle inside at the name Pleasure Gardens.  
Too much Grey Matter floating around in my head I think!
